Journey to Enlightenment

Enlightenment is returning to your true nature through silence and release of ego—Myoku Center gently guides you on this journey.

The great secret of enlightenment is that there is no secret—truth is already before your eyes. Do not cling to ego-driven thoughts. Let go of biased beliefs, judgments, and opinions. Focus on your breath, allow inner silence to arise, and there you are. In that silence, you touch inner peace and experience reality on a different wavelength. You move in Oneness and act with wisdom.  Sounds like too much blahblah?  Well, try it first and let’s talk!

What we call a “journey” is not an outward path toward some idea of enlightenment; it is an inward path of clearing the mind from the noise you’ve absorbed. What remains, then, is your true nature.

The journey is not about striving toward a goal but about taming the ego. It is neither hard nor easy; it depends on how much you trust your true Self. The journey is very simple.  It’s the human mind that makes it hard because we have to “lose all illusions about ourselves.”  And the first step is to realize there is no “I” and no “you.”

On the journey, we all face obstacles as human beings:

  • We cling to identity, possessions, reputation, and material life.
  • We doubt our true nature because suffering feels overwhelming.
  • We fear inner silence, mistaking it for a dark side within us.
  • We lack grounding and rely on society, family, or community to give our life meaning.
  • We neglect time for ourselves, believing that doing is more important than being.

I invite you to reflect on these questions:

  • When have you felt joyful or peaceful—not because of possessions or success, but simply in being?
  • When have you been in awe of nature or life itself?
  • When have you felt an inner force guiding you with trust?
  • When have you felt larger than your body or empowered for no reason at all?

These are the moments to notice, expand, and trust. They are windows opening onto your true nature.  Immerse yourself in them, expand them, focus on them, develop them more.  Meditation is a great tool in that regard. I encourage you to explore meditation practice with me at www.myokucenter.com/programs/ Remember that meditation is not about becoming someone new—it’s about returning to who you already are.
